He was born to Bellator and Indivia, both of whom became travelers after his mother killed his half brother's, Brago's, mother (Malitia), though they didn't become travelers because it was wrong but because they wanted to be secluded, they didn't want to be apart of the herd or learn any Blackwood beliefs, which he knew what happened though he didn't know the truth on why his mother killed Malitia. His father, unknown to him and his mother, was growing mad from eating various plants that were known for causing it, Bellator was able to charm his mother, putting thoughts into her head and even giving her some of the herbs he would eat and turned her against the Blackwood's beliefs, after all, his father was, as some females described him to be, a smooth talker.

His father, not wanting him to turn out how Brago did, was strict enough to continue to teach him to fight. Despite his father's teaching, he's a very kind hearted individual, something him and his older half brother shares.

Despite his father trying to teach Arcane to hate Brago, he couldn't help but feel bad about Brago losing his mother, but wanting to stay close to his father, he pretended to feel nothing towards Brago.

- The idea of Blackwoods having to prove their strength in a negative way like killing one of their own, just over petty things(yes this kind of includes his mother, he dislikes what she's done but still loves his parents).

- Despite how he was raised and not liking the idea of blackwoods killing anyone(especially their own) over petty things, he loves the idea of mother Uir.
